I have darktable-1.7.0.1421821592.4d1e128 and the build provides:
 /usr/lib64/darktable/plugins/imageio/storage/libpdf.so

pdf still exists in the "export selected" -> "storage options" and does
not exist as a file format option. Will removing libpdf.so enable that
file format or has it not built yet?

Removing libpdf.so provides no export to pdf function as storage or file
format.

tks,
