Well, if my understanding of the subject isn't too far from correct, then they would have to slightly decrease the focal length in order to have an identical image picture on the smaller sensor... but if the stated range of the lens is the same, this would imply that this didn't happen? In which case there would need to be a different set of corrections... unless the difference is so small as to be negligible, of course.
