-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 Hi,
Today the German news page Heise foto published[1] an article titled 'Colored infrared images from the RAW converter'. It deals about converting the colors in those images from RGB to BGR, so to switch the red and the blue channel. This gives the images a more natural look, e.g. the sky is in infrared images red. The author Ralph Altmann wrote that using the proprietary programs they tested it's quite hard and complicated to do this, as opposed to the OpenSource software available. He tested Darktable, Digikam, GTKRawGallery und RawTherapee, all of them were able to do the switch but with different practicability and difficulty. It was the easiest with darktable by using the 'input color profile' module (de: Eingabefarbprofil). To adjust the effect, it's possible to use the channel mixer (de: Kanalmixer). Along with their recent test on OpenSource raw converters and darktable's, this seems to be turnaround by the heise publisher, as they have put the free software word in second place by then.
