Hello,
I'm confused what the difference is between tagging in lighttable vs
darkroom.
I'm running DT 1.6.3 and just started using tags a while ago. Whenever I
imported new RAWs, I added a set of tags to the whole film roll within
lighttable as usually the tags will be the same for the whole shoot.
Now, I saw that when I open the file in darkroom, there are no assigned
tags to it. Then, when I add one of the available tags within darkroom,
this one and the ones which were visible in lighttable mode before, will
be added.
Exported files include the tags which were added in lighttable and also
if tags have been added in darkroom. So, beside the confusion within
darkroom mode there is no negative impact to me.
* Does lighttable mode add the tags to the embedded JPG only?
* I was assuming that tags get added to the XMP files. But this is only
the case if one adds tags in darktable mode, right?
* adding a tag in darkroom mode adds all tags which have been added in
lighttable mode earlier?
If above assumptions, observations are correct, then it seems a bit
incosistent to me as the tag list for the same picture can look
different.
Has this already been changed in one of the future releases? Or am I
missing anything here?
Bernd
