That's true, but these days, there's more than lens profiles for
compensating lens errors.  The Adobe database doesn't contain any
profiles for µ4/3 lenses, neither does it for Fujifilm X mount
lenses.  These lenses place their correction parameters into the RAW
file, and Lightroom uses them directly.  Given that such techniques
will become more wide-spread in the next years, this is the next
challenge for free RAW software.
