We switched to rawspeed from libraw in 1.6. Looking at the definitions the camera should be supported but I don't have any sample raw files to test it. Could you please open a bug report and provide some samples? I think upload of files is currently broken in our bug tracker so a link to dropbox/drive/etc would be fine. Assuming you mean it freezes when opening darktable it's probably not frozen. If you double click again you should go back to the lighttable. We need to improve that interaction so it's clear the image is not working but the program is still running fine.
