It's probably not darktable feature (but maybe will be), but maybe someone can suggest how on linux I can create a file (preferably PDF) with thumbnails and their corresponding filenames.
I was almost happy with imagemagick's montage (2x3 images per page) $ montage *jpg -geometry '300x300+10+10>' -tile 2x3 -shadow -pointsize 14 -set label '%f' -frame 1 -page a4 out.pdf but in the generated PDF image labels are bitmaps and not text so you cannot select as text from created PDF.
