It doesn't currently work, and the current thinking is that there wouldn't be much of an improvement in performance anyway (though we obviously have no data on that due to it not working). There was a mention on a mailing list somewhere that they may get around to fixing it for dt in the not-too-distant future, but I wouldn't hold your breath. Certainly the best way to improve the performance of dt remains adding a decently performing discrete video card with > 1GB RAM.
