It annoys me to see it. As any useless entry / module / effect / setting which 
has nothing

to do in the interface and should be eliminated.

It is true for profiles, lenses, etc., where unneeded ones should be hideable 
so the workflow

could be faster.

Yes... presets and styles, of course, but that is good for people that produce 
photos that can

be processed the same way in one batch.

This is not my case : each time I take a series of photos, there are quite 
never two which I

can apply the same processing to.

I recently spent over 20 hours processing 326 photos that were taken while my 
young son

was playing on a playing area, each one was different from others.
