Then you need to establish a work-flow that fits for you. I *always* rename *immediately* after transferring from camera to hard-drive so I don't have your problem. If I don't rename, I have much difficulty retrieving older images as my "old foggy syndrome" is deserved and cultivated for 74+ years. I also lowercase and add gps data before importing to dt, contrary to dt's not altering originals, but that is my decision and always performed on a duplicate before destroying the pristine copy. Still requires adapting your work-flow to the tools you use and using them properly. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Darktable-users mailing list Darktable-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/darktable-users
