As of today, with any luck, all known thumbnail hangs/deadlocks have
been fixed in git master.

Since, as i have said, it is expected to be fixed in git master
I would appreciate if people would use git master (since we are going
to freeze soon, it is more or less safe)
and check/*report* if there are still issues there.

BUT, as always, there will be no way back to 1.6 - only db/xmp
restoration from backups.
