Hi,

I'd like to give some feedback about the upcoming version 2.0.

I'm happy to see that the scroll wheel does not scroll the darkroom
modules any more, a very good choice, since it was too easy to also
change a setting that happened to scroll past. Please also do this in
the "global preferences" dialog, where it's still possible to scroll
and change settings with the wheel.

Thank you for adding knobs for softproof and gamut check [1]! One
small improvement would be to move these knobs next to the histogram
(maybe stacked vertically, to its right? I think they relate more to
that than to the film strip).

In the "Lighttable > import > folder" dialog, how can I type in the
path? I honestly could not figuere this out, but it should be the
standard gtk3 dialog, right?

I still find the default fonts way too small, and the usual solution
[2] does not work any more.

The scrollbars are either invisible or really hard to see (this has
changed in `master` for the panes on the sides in lighttable/darkroom
mode but is still the same as in `release-2.0rc1` for, e.g., the
"global preferences" dialog). Also, in the same dialog box, the
scroll bar covers the "+" buttons next to numerical settings.

If I select text in "Lighttable > image information" and right-click,
then the popup menu has black background, the usable options (e.g.,
"Copy") are written in white, the others are black as well. I think
that some color settings are missing.

It is sometimes difficult to discren selected text from unselected,
e.g., in "Lighttable > image information". It's better in "Lighttable
> tagging".

I'm not so happy about having buttons, input flields, table headers,
tabs and all that stuff look almost exactly the same way (I guess
that's what's called Bauhaus look?). Or simply removing GTK's
admittedly ugly dashed indicators which show that there is more to be
seen with scrolling. I certainly do not agree with all the decisions
GTK tries to impose on us, but there probably is some thinking going
on behind their GUI design. Please do not change everything to only
rectangles in four shades of gray...

Some source-code questions:

When testing the new version, should this be based on
`release-2.0rc1`, or on `master`? Unless otherwise indicated, above
statements are based on `master`.

When updating my working copy from upstream, is it ok to just do `make
-C build install` or do I have to run `./build` again? And is `rm -rf
build` correct to get a really completely fresh build?

Thanks
Stefan
