Sometimes darktable makes me loose the job just done, or worse, erases the wrong image .
I think the way darktable set focus on a photo (selects it) at lighttable (LT) mode often leads to unwanted action being executed. Scenario: After processing an important image on darkroom mode, press L to return to lighttable mode; Viewing the thumbnails (mipmaps?), I select another image by clicking one time at it, to select it. Then, with the mouse, I click on Discard history stack and, Voilá!, it erases the my work at the first image. Another scenario: I select an image (click on it) on Lightroom, or come back from darkroom after working on it. Then I want to export it. But.... before hitting CTRL-E, I make a movement (for example, my hand pushes the mouse by chance) with the mouse so that the pointer hovers over another image. When I hit CTRL-E, the exported image will be the last one, not the one that should be selected. This second scenario happened with more damage when the DELETE key worked as hotkey for erasing images (this doesnt work anymore). At that time, I used to loose photos, sometimes without even knowing wich one has vanished. So, in my opinion, the way darktable selects/de-selects, or acts on an image where the mouse is just hovering over it, without even touching it, is messy. For me, it often leads to unwanted actions. What's your experience on this matter? Cheers, André -- André Felipe https://www.flickr.com/photos/andrefelipecarvalho/
