Thanks for your answers, but I still don't thik this behaviour is normal
at all.
Though the channel mixer works in output colour space (which I had not
realized untill now), the preview shold take this into account. I made a
mistake in my previous post: Lighttable mode shows the image correctly,
with the same shades of grey as those observed when editing it in
Darkroom mode.
The problem appears after exporting the picture.
In order to illustrate the issue, I have prepared some pictures of the
defferent steps of the process.
As a non-google user, I have searched for a registering free file
sharing site that I think will meet my porpuses. I include a link to a
zip file with the examples. They are low quality screen captures, but I
think they show the problem I'm trying to explain.
