If you want to remove all images from the library you can just set the collect
module to show everything (many skulls in your case), then hit ctrl-a to
select all images and then del to remove them from the collection.

If you moved the folders to a new base directory but kept the images of a
single folder together you can tell darktable where to find the folder by
setting the collect module to the folder mode. You will find the entries
crossed out. When right clicking them you can use "search filmroll..." to
browse to a new directory.

As a last resort you can delete ~/.config/darktable/library.db – that will
however also delete your presets.
