Invited by Denis (http://eclipse-projects.blogspot.com/2010/02/diversity-matters.html?showCom ment=1266952234983#c6613169274741528826), I would like to regain my commit rights on the dashboard sub-project (http://www.eclipse.org/projects/project_summary.php?projectid=technology.da sh.dashboard) in order to work on improving the committer stats dashboards. For example: * incorporating historic affiliation changes of personnel * making sure that all repository directories are covered by one, and only one, project * potentially linking the commit data to bugzilla data so that the stats can include contributors in addition to committers * potentially dividing the "individuals" instead of considering them as a single company-equivalent group * data clean-up rules and a clean-up user interface for people to point out problems * and the other 19 open bugs in bugzilla (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/buglist.cgi?query_format=advanced;bug_status= UNCONFIRMED;bug_status=NEW;bug_status=ASSIGNED;bug_status=REOPENED;component =Commits%20Explorer;product=Dash;classification=Technology)
As I do not currently have commit rights, I should create patches and ask the existing committers to apply them and earn my way to being re-elected. However, there are only two committers on the project and both are inactive, hence I ask for the larger project's advice: what approach should I take to re-instantiation as a committer on the dashboard sub-project?
