Asking gnome-power-manager is the most portable option. But in Dapper we have a file /var/run/laptop-mode-state which this line when the ac is disconnected: start,0 and this when ac is connected: stop,1 laptop-mode-tools are resposible of setting the harddrive sleep mode and such when the power is disconnected. It in turn depends on various tools to do the detection. - - S -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFEJp7Iqbb3MLg9dhwRApZAAKC9wHle2KfPNGt5HrvzEAKl7055QQCg0ggQ g5CQqm/TfQY/DFfknclqrzY= =ats7 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Dashboard-hackers mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/dashboard-hackers
