Hi, By chance I've noticed that the indexer hangs when meeting corrupted gif files, e.g. an empty file with the extension "gif":
[mahes]/home/steve/tmp: touch aaa.gif [mahes]/home/steve/tmp: test-mime aaa.gif Test Failed: message/news is not subclass of message/* Test Failed: message/news is not subclass of text/* Test Failed: text/* is subclass of text/plain File "aaa.gif" has a mime-type of image/gif [mahes]/home/steve/tmp: beagle-extract-content aaa.gif Filename: file:///home/steve/tmp/aaa.gif Debug: Loaded 43 filters from /usr/local/lib/beagle/Filters/Filters.dll ... ... <--- just hanging here and creating lotsa cpu load. BTW, an external filter like "exiftools" produces the following output: [mahes]/home/steve/tmp: beagle-extract-content aaa.gif Filename: file:///home/steve/tmp/aaa.gif Debug: Loaded 43 filters from /usr/local/lib/beagle/Filters/Filters.dll Filter: Beagle.Filters.FilterExternal MimeType: Error: Image format error - /home/steve/tmp/aaa.gif (no content) (no hot content) Beagle is CVS fetched on April, 4th. Kind regards, Stephan. _______________________________________________ Dashboard-hackers mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/dashboard-hackers
