For anyone using beagle on FC6 and seeing the above hang,
I checked the FC6 patches for beagle and found an xlib patch which might be
causing the problem.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=212370#c20 explains the
situation in little more detail.
In short the hang doesnt happen in the actual 0.2.10 release but by an FC6
patch which tries to smartly detect X disconnection. (beagle monitors
Xscreensaver to tune up the speed of indexing).
If you are experiencing the hang, please unset the environment variable
DISPLAY for the time being.

PS: I dont understand xlib that good but the patch seemed to have a good
intent. If they find a better solution than regular polling then it makes
sense to patch it upstream.
