-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hey all, just thought we should discuss this new standard thats being cooked up at fdo, theres not a real start page, but you can get to most of the stuff through this page
http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/WasabiSearchSimple or this one. http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/WasabiDraft2 In general I think we should look at getting a dbus system in place soon, as it seems that the major sticking point with the larger distros/projects is the dependence of a core technology (like gtkfilechooser) having to load a beagle lib. In addition, I think it goes a long way for the most mature desktop search engine to support an open standard search api, and it will make the development of completely integrated search solutions much easier. Just wanted to let everyone know, once the API looks a little more final, we can make this a serious priority and look into getting dbus back in the build and all that.
