Hi,
I emailed a few weeks back about querying a network-enabled beagle
(available
in a branch). There was another project of avahi integration which is also
now present in the same branch. In essence with these (in very crude terms):
* avahi-enabled beagled publishes a services on the local network
* while querying, clients searches all the published beagled-s in the local
network
* clients can also query a specific networked beagled using its hostname (or
ip address) on the network or anywhere in the internet
Its like searching your home beagled using a N800 ;-)
Speculations apart, I was only able to merge the core code. I don't have
multiple machines running avahi to test the avahi code (which I merged and
tested that it builds) nor do I run gnome to test the UI for the above
functionalities (which I didnt merge since I cannot test if it builds). I can
definitely use some help here.
