Hey, I can roll up a package with said patch sometime tonight, if bhale could spare a moment later tonight or tomorrow to help me get the deb approved and uploaded, it would be much appreciated, over having to slog my way through the red tape for an account request.
I probably don't have the time to try and be _the_ ubuntu maintainer, but if theres ever a working patch or config/compile change that just needs to get bundled, I can generally make it happen.
