>From my understanding (far from complete) of SQL (the portion supported by 32bit BDE
Paradox driver) you can't do what you want... The only means I can see of performing
the group by on the unioned result-set is to union into a view and then perform a
group by on a selection from the view - since views aren't supported under paradox
this isn't really an option.

EG
CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW AB_VIEW AS
    SELECT C1,C2 FROM A
    UNION
    SELECT C1,C2 FROM B;

SELECT * FROM AB_VIEW GROUP BY C1;
