Are you trying to make changes to the dfm file?
When do you get the error message?
Is it a simple form you want to view, a data module?
I suggest you try closing all other units you have open in the IDE and then
try again.

Thanks that worked, however on one of my forms I get
module ....pas has open decendants or linked modules, cannot close
As a new Delphi person I do not understand this. Please help
