THAT was the clue I needed, thank you. The table had evolved
from one without a primary key, hence "Maintained" was greyed
out. I've just added a primary key, Maintained is now checked,
and I confidently expect my problems to go away.
Beginner's error, show's how rusty I am getting in Paradox these
days... <g>
