I am running MSDE on my workstation without any problems. I connect to it
via enterprise manager and query analyser as I would with a normal SQL
server box.
Are you sure that you can run both MSDE and SQL Server 7 on the same
machine? The MSDE service goes by the same name as the SQL Server service.
If you ran both services on the one machine, how could you specify which
service to connect to when you connect via enterprise manager?
