There is a new reply by kasper to the topic at the DataCleaner forum: simply
won't run

Do you have Java installed?
To diagnose further, here's what you can try:
* After running the executable, is there a subdirectory called "log"? ... If
so, please let us know what the log file says.
* Try running "DataCleaner-console.exe" from a command prompt. That might
print out what's going wrong.
* Finally, if that does not work, try running:

java -jar DataCleaner.jar
}}}
