There is a new topic by AbbyT available at the DataCleaner forum: How to Uninstall so I can reinstall?
------------------- I downloaded and installed the DataCleaner 3.5.7 zipped.exe but I put it in the wrong folder. I tried to just move the folder to the right folder location but obviously that caused issues. Now I get error messages when I try to exit out of the program. How do I uninstall DC so I can reinstall it in the correct folder? I don't see an uninstall file and it's not available in Add/Remove programs for Windows. I'm running on Windows 7 by the way. Or if doing a reinstall won't fix it how do I resolve the error messages upon exiting DC? If I continue by the error message and try exiting 2 more times it will finally exit out, or so it seems. I tried to move the folder back to it's original location and it wouldn't let me it said I still had a file open from the folder when I had exited out already. Error Message: Unexpected error! org.apache.commons.vfs2.FileSystemException: Could not write to "file:///C:/Program Files/DataCleaner/userpreferences.dat". Could not write to "file:///C:/Program Files/DataCleaner/userpreferences.dat". C:\Program Files\DataCleaner\userpreferences.dat (Access is denied) Thanks in advance for any help you can give me! ------------------- Please visit this URL to follow along in the discussion: http://datacleaner.org/topic/436/How-to-Uninstall-so-I-can-reinstall- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "DataCleaner-notify" group.
