Dear [email protected], There is a new reply by kasper to the topic at the DataCleaner forum: How to Uninstall so I can reinstall?
------------------- Hi Abby, Glad to hear you like the application, and also sorry about the issues you have. Let me see if I can answer your questions (it's a long post, so excuse me if I miss something). Regarding 64-bit install: Since DC is a 100% Java application, we do not have separate requirements for 32 or 64 operating systems. As long as you have a Java 6+ installation (32 or 64 bit), then you're good. So what version to use? I would always recommend the latest version, since that's where we've done the most stabilization maneuvers. And if you come to the community with bugs or issues based on the latest version, you will generally find more inclination for involvement. Regarding bug/issue tracking: As you can see on the (very recent) news, we're moving the dev infra part over to GitHub. To be honest we didn't do that yet with all the issues registered in trac, but we intend to, shortly. What it means to you? Please file your issues/bugs at https://github.com/datacleaner/DataCleaner/issues I don't think there was ever a option to save analysis results as CSV files. There is an option to use the specific "Create CSV file" writing option (find it in 'Write data' menu) as a part of your job, but that's conceptually something different than saving your result. The .dat files are binary files that DC can open to represent the complete result screen/report. It's mostly a file format intended for exchange or archiving within DC application(s). Lastly, the error message you get "No Analyzers or Explorers in job" means just that: DataCleaner jobs are only complete when they contain a so-called Analyzer (or Explorer, but that's a long stupid technical story). You find all the analyzers in the "Analyze" button's menu and/or in the "Write data" menu. ------------------- Please visit this URL to follow along in the discussion: http://datacleaner.org/topic/436/How-to-Uninstall-so-I-can-reinstall- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "DataCleaner-notify" group.
