-------------------

Hi,

(Apologies for posting so many question - I am evaluating DataCleaner for a
enterprise purchase, but this seems the quickest way to get info ).

A lot of what I am looking to do with Datacleaner is based on RegEx's - with a
very common use-case being "If Data conforms to Regex then do X, Else do Y".

However - most of my datasets have got the potential data of interest spread
over different columns. So, what I really want to do is something like:

"If any data in columns 1,2,3,4,5,6 match with RegEx then copy those records to
a file" - however, I can't see a way of doing this at the moment.
As example: "If any records have a data element which matches a Zip Code regex
in "address 1", "Address_2", "Address_3", "Address_4" then write all those rows
to a file.

A second, equally common use-case is "If any data in columns 1,2,3,4,5,6 match
with RegEx, then copy those specific data strings into Column 7.
For example "If any records have a data element which matches a Zip code regex
in "Address_1", "Address_2", "Address_3", "Address_4" then copy those zip code
strings into "Zipcode" column on the same raw.

Would you be able to give me some guidance on how I can work through these
use-cases?

Many thankss

Steve
