Donnieclark posted the subject 'Entering master password with trojan safe on
LastPass?'

-------------------

I just installed LastPass. It required me to enter a master password on firefox
itself, to set it up.
However, I don't know if my laptop has virus/trojans, even though I scanned it
with malwarebytes and CCleaner.
Is it safe to enter the master password not knowing whether my laptop is
infected? I read that the only way to be sure there are no trojans on the
laptop is by going through task manager > background processes 1 by 1, which
would take a whole day I think. Anyway, would it be safer to use Keepass in
this case, knowing that it doesn't reuire a browser to enter the master
password? (Although I read that Keepass is more vulnerable to hackers as the
website doesn't have HTTPS or smthn). o rephrase it, with my limited PC
knowledge I think that browsers are easier targeted by hackers and thus not
making it safe to enter the master password on firefox.
Are my concerns legit? If so, any advice on this matter?

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
