Well this is what I had on my mind in terms of features: - Mixins for Facts, Dimensions, and Cubes. There would also be support for generators that would be used w/ merb-gen. Also thinking that all of the joins would be taken care of by - Default Date Dimension population in database - Support for Type 1 and 2 slowly changing dimensions - Support for database views so that we can have outriggers - Calculated fields via default option on properties
Here's a little of what I was thinking in terms of code. Its not everything I specified above but it gets the ball rolling: http://gist.github.com/62820 Rimas http://neovintage.blogspot.com http://twitter.com/neovintage On Feb 10, 11:45 pm, "Dan Kubb (dkubb)" <[email protected]> wrote: > Rimas, > > > I really haven't taken the time to really think the process through > > completely > > but my initial thought was of going the same direction Anthony Eden took > > ActiveWarehouse. > > > I'd be interested to find out if the community is interested in having > > data warehousing functions in DataMapper. > > I haven't used Anthony's ActiveWharehouse before, but I'd be > interested in some more details on what you plan.. even a brief > overview would go a long way towards explaining what you're thinking > about. > > -- > > Dan > (dkubb) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "DataMapper" group.
