Hello,
I've had some problems recently with Extlib's compatibility with
ActiveSupport. I ended up having to include in my project a slimmed-down
version of Extlib, so that ActiveSupport could do its stuff without
conflicts.

To see the conflicts, clone the most recent Rails and the most recent
Extlib, and run ActiveRecord tests after require'ing Extlib from the test
helper file. They're rather hard to track down though, so if you need help,
go ahead and ask me since I've already found most of them.

Is there a goal for Extlib to be compatible with ActiveSupport? If so, I can
help fix these problems. At the very least, Extlib could refrain from
defining certain methods when it detects ActiveSupport has already been
loaded.

PS. I won't be all that responsive for the next two weeks, but I wanted to
get this discussion started when it was still fresh.

"You have granted me life and steadfast love, and your care has preserved my
spirit." Job 10:12
"The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup . . . indeed, I have a beautiful
inheritance." Psalm 16:5-6
"Give what you can ... take nothing back!"
