How doable would it be to extend datamapper with the postgis stuff?
The problem is that its not easy to add new types that are native to
your adapter. Something like this http://github.com/nofxx/postgis_adapter.
This kind of extends to a bigger question of being able to add new
data types. i.e. postgres has array and enum types among others.
