Hi, You should use dm-taggings as I'm working on them and can offer help and I'm definitely going to support it since I'm using it in my projects. dm-tags will probably be replaced by dm-taggings at some point as it no longer has a maintainer and people haven't been happy with it anyway.
Regarding the error you're getting please report an issue on github with a full backtrace and a description of your environment.
