Your best bet for many of these numbers are:
- The Economic Survey of India <http://indiabudget.nic.in/>
- Census 2011 <http://censusindia.gov.in/> website (the numbers are still
trickling in), and
- The World Bank's datasets <http://www.worldbank.org/en/country/india>.

You might be better off using these directly rather than refer to reports
which use this data.
