Hello to all and greetings, I just landed up here, I came to know about the group via Susewind's Mapping India's elections blog.
I am Dilip Damle, 55, From Goa. Freelancer presently based in Delhi, Here is a brief intro about myself. By Qualification I am a Mechanical Engineer, I was hooked to computers as a Hobby since I did an evening Fortran Course (On a ICL 1904s) from Pune university in 1983. It continued as a hobby with the acquisition of a Commodore 64 in 1986.( I still have a C64 and C128 in working condition). I left my job in 1992 and since them I am a freelancer. As a freelancer my center of gravity is @ Autocad. My main interest here is data and GIS. I am not a GIS expert nor formally trained. However I have been using GIS tools for Cartography since 2000. and using them for Engineering (Water, Sewer, Storm) since 2003. I do VB and VBA in many different applications. Nice to be here. Let's hope to have a nice time.
