Allowing data export in this format allows Bus routes to be searched using Google Maps. Also, this has become sort of a unspoken standard and many independent apps being built using this format. I haven't looked for it, but I think there should be an Open Source Bus Routes Management System that allows maintenance and export of data using this format. So, the contest should also encourage customization of one such app for PMPML.
