This session was held as part of NPD Week, on Wednesday, 27 January. The
discussion on global data regulations, and how NPD is positioned is

This evening, we conclude by discussing privacy issues in NPD and other
data regulations forthcoming in India. The session will discuss:

   1. De-anonymization requirement in NPD and implementation in practice
   given that there is no standard for de-anonymization.
   2. You can always reverse the PDP and NPD datasets despite
   anonymization. This is one of the privacy concerns that all the
   interviewees in the Hasgeek NPD survey had. What is the way forward, from a
   practitioner's standpoint, and the demand for compliance?
   3. NPDA's effectiveness, and concerns that practitioners have.
