I wanted to share two sources of nutrition information for food products in
India that I've found useful:

   - Open Food Facts, India <https://in.openfoodfacts.org/data> – a
   crowdsourced database available under the Open Database License
   - Indian Nutrient Databank (INDB)
   <https://github.com/lindsayjaacks/Indian-Nutrient-Databank-INDB-> –
   supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

Together, these are among the most comprehensive and freely available
datasets for both packaged and non-packaged food items in India.

If you're interested in supporting food transparency in India, you might
consider contributing to in.openfoodfacts.org through their website or
mobile app.

You can also check out my write-ups on Open Food Facts

and INDB

to learn more.

Thanks,
MV Radhakrishna
