Hello all, OpenCity.in invites you to a design jam in *Mumbai *on "Solving for Waste in Mumbai".
*About the event:* n the design jam, participants can look at different aspects of the chain of solid waste management - level of segregation in different wards of Mumbai, amount of waste generated across the city, impact of WTE plants (current and future), state of landfills in Mumbai in terms of their effects on the surroundings, status of waste workers in BMC - current number, ideal number, how much is spent on their welfare in the budgets and recycling infrastructure in the city These aspects can come together to redesign the solid waste management at the neighbourhood, ward, zone or city level. The goal, eventually, is to design a system of waste-management that can help make Mumbai cleaner and waste-free. All output/findings will be shared on OpenCity.in and CitizenMatters <http://www.citizenmatters.in/> and available for republication under a cc license. *When:* Dec 20th, 2025, Saturday, 10 AM - 5 PM. *Where:* It is a physical event.
