What charset is detected for documents with broken accents ? (This is $(CS) meta-variable for storedoc.htm template or $(Charset) meta-variable in "res" section of search.htm template). When you has changed your langmap.conf file, did you reindexed all documenta with wrong charset detected with -m switch for indexer ?
