Subject: Problem with last snapshot 4-46-18042007

Hello,

I have updated this morning my previous 4-46 version dated beginning of April
to the last
snapshot dated April 18th.

And after doing indexer -Eresort everything worked fine during couple of hours.
But it seems that my searchd collapsed after receiving some subsequent search
requests
(about 5 requests during the last minute before crashing).

The last logged search was the following:

searchd[8540]: {00} Query: musical blog [Charset: iso-8859-1]
searchd[8540]: {00} Query prepared in ... 0.0000 sec.
searchd[8540]: {00} Sent total_found packet 25 bytes buf='Total_found=7(7)'
searchd[8540]: {00} Sent WWL packet 1170 bytes cmd=8 len=1162 nwords=14
searchd[8540]: {00} Sent PerSite packet 36 bytes cmd=12 len=28
searchd[8540]: {00} Sent URLDATA packet 148 bytes cmd=13 len=140
searchd[8540]: {00} Sent words packet 64 bytes cmd=3 len=56 nwords=135314448
searchd[8540]: {00} Waiting for command header
searchd[8540]: {00} Received header cmd=5 len=266
searchd[8540]: {00} Received DOCINFO command len=266 ndocs=7
searchd[8540]: {00} Sent doc_info packet 7260 bytes
searchd[8540]: {00} Waiting for command header
searchd[8540]: {00} Received incomplete header nrecv=0
searchd[8540]: {00} Quit

And then nothing, searchd process still present in ps output but no more any
logging
and no more any response to search requests.

The error seems to be linked with: Received incomplete header nrecv=0 ??

I have restarted searchd and got DPS back working correctly but what could be
the reason
of this collapse ?

Adam
