Subject: WARNING: nonstandard use of \' in a string literal
Hello
I have installed dataparksearch 4.48 on a machine running FreeBSD 6.2 with
PostgreSQL 8.2.5. When running the indexer, I see lots of those messages:
WARNING: nonstandard use of \' in a string literal
LINE 1: INSERT INTO dict (url_id,word,intag) VALUES('427','Po\'s',73...
Do I need to be concerned about these? Do they affect the database contents and
therefore the search results I will get? I believe I could get rid of those
messages, by setting 'escape_string_warning' to off in postgresql.conf, but I
am not sure, if this is the way to go.
