I did some further investigation on this issue. With mod_dpsearch and AspellExtensions set to yes, when searching for i.e. "documenation", I get the response, that it did not find any match, and no suggestions are being displayed. After each search, a new apache httpd process appears, that seems to hang. So after doing i.e. 7 searches, I have about 9 httpd processes, which do not terminate, even if i stop the apache server. These are resistent to kill and will only terminate by doing a kill -9. Relevant software being involved is: dpsearch-4.48 apache-2.2.6_2 with worker MPM aspell-0.60.5_2 postgresql-server-8.2.5_2 The machine runs FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE in SMP mode. Without Aspell enabled, mod_dpsearch seems to run fine and is even quite a lot faster than search.cgi with searchd. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Read the full topic here: http://www.dataparksearch.org/cgi-bin/simpleforum.cgi?fid=03;topic_id=1196271230
