Hi Victor,
Did you use square brackets around the month function
month[ today ] CASES
CASE cv=1 OF "January" ENDOF
etc etc
another way of doing this is with the subfield function
subfield["January February March April ..." ; " " ; month[today]]
This formula finds the particular word delimited by a space out from the
list of 12 months
Regards
Brian

Subject: [Dataperf] TODAY function and CASE statement
Is it possible to combine a case statement together with the today
function, for example
MONTH(TODAY)CASES
CASE CV=1 OF "January" ENDOF
CASE CV=2 of "February" ENDOF
etc
ENDCASES
I have tried this both with (TODAY) or [TODAY], but neither version
produces the expected result.
I would be grateful to know what the correct syntax is.
Victor Warner
