Ralph I'm getting confused so I will type out what happens.
When I start DP on my desktop from the same backed up directory on my XP
desktop (c:\backup) I see the
following:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Move up arrow or down arrow to move to the desired database then press
enter

You can also
1 - Create a new database (if you have definition rights)
2 - Change directory
0 - Exit
----------Selection
0------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pathname: C:\Backup
Acntnums
Billing
Notes
Library
etc.
When I open the same DP on my palmtop in c:\backup the above list only
shows Acntnums
with nothing below it. The files are in the directory and I can open
them if I use WPShell31.
The *.str files are present for each database in the directory i.e. each
database has its own str file. Hope this helps,
