Place these printer codes at the beginning of the report for WP to recognize this as a WP 4.2 file. First record will be block protected. (Codes are supposed to be Block Protect off, right justify off.

Sometimes when I try to import a DataPerfect Report into WordPerfect 9, I get an "Unsupported Format" message. If I tell WP that the file is WP4.2 format, it imports it OK.

Are there header codes I can put in my DP reports so that WP recognizes the file as WP4.2 format?

I remember seeing something about this some time ago and made a note but if I use those codes (they were <206><0><0><206><192><0><255><0><255><192><14>), the file is identified by WP9 as a WP4.2 file but imports as a data merge file with silly margins and page size.
