Don - I have to say that that is exactly what I was thinking when the question was posed. The alternatives seem like an awful lot of bother and for what? In fact, there are precious few reports that I actually print from DP. Many to to WP and many I print in an old DOS program called 4Print which I use extensively for various lists.

If you use Word Perfect, it's easy. I do virtually all of my printing
from WP, because it simplifies formatting immensely.
1.    Save your report as a WP file, instead of sending it directly to a
printer.
2.    Open the file in WP.
3.    Set the WP page formatting option to Page 1 of 1, & choose the
position you want for it.
4.    Print.
5.    It might be advisable to quickly page through it to be sure you
don't have undesired blank spaces.
    a.    If you have used DP tabs for formatting, you should select a
non-proportional type such as Courier or Letter Gothic, to preserve your
alignments.
