Hi Denis,

Welcome to the forum.

First thing to look at is probably the Data link setup. Data links when
established give options of Auto create, No Create, or Prompt create when
setting up the link. The effect is seen when accessing data thru the link or
entering data in the previous panel that doesn't exist in the data link
panel. It could be that the data link you are accessing is set to no create
so you can access data through the link but not add to it. The F5 start
switch enables you to see all data thru a link not just related records, but
the link setup still governs what you can do with the data. Hope this helps

Colin

Subject: [Dataperf] Looking for HELP with DP2.6x

> I have just upgraded from DP2.2 to DP2.6x, and have become aware of many
changes required to the reports section, to provide me with the same output
results. One area I am having problems with is the way Panel Links and Data
Links seem to be operating. I am using start up option /F5.

EDIT MODE. The Editing of data is NOT ALLOWED, I can't make any changes to
the record.
